30th Midlothian are renamed 30th Edinburgh Troop

In February 1968, the Court of Honour Minutes recorded that the Group’s name had changed to the 30th Edinburgh Boy Scout Troop, likely following a decision that was taken to create a larger Edinburgh Scouting district area and a smaller Midlothian one, bringing the boundaries more closely into line with those of the local councils.

On 28 June 1968, the Minutes noted a proposal to rename the Troop as the 107th Edinburgh. however, this suggestion was met with strong objections from most members, and the Group continued to be known as the 30th Edinburgh until February 1971, when the name was officially changed to the 30th Inverleith Scout Troop.
